Most teams adopt Nix because one engineer championed it, then get stuck the moment that person needs to explain it, hire around it, or leaves. Runs a real multi-host NixOS fleet in production: declarative deploys across five hosts via deploy-rs, an internal ACME certificate authority (step-ca), split-horizon DNS (Unbound), and Caddy reverse proxying. Daily-driven infrastructure, not a demo.
